As most of you know, I moved real estate firms in April. This move has been nothing short of amazing! Compass is growing faster than any other brokerage in the country, while maintaining very high quality agents. 85% of Compass agents are ranked in the top 5% nationally. We have formed a collaborative culture that has led to collective knowledge sharing nationwide, which benefits you, the client.
Since the short time I have been with Compass, we have opened five offices in The Hamptons, including Sag Harbor, East Hampton, Bridgehampton, South Hampton, and offices in Miami Beach, Aspen, Basalt, Boston, Cambridge, Beverly Hills, Malibu, Pasadena, and Montecito. And, we anticipate opening an office in San Francisco within the next couple of months.
This morning it was announced by founders Robert Reffkin and Ori Allon that they completed a new round of investor funding of $75,000,000, which values the company at over $1 billion. All of our investors are committed to the long term success of Compass. We have also added a new partner, Wellington Management, one of the world’s largest investors with nearly $1 trillion in assets under management. The great news is that Compass has raised $210,000,000 of equity, taken on no debt, and continues to have a Founder controlled Board of Directors.
I have tremendous confidence in Compass’ vision and leadership and believe we can build the real estate industry’s most disruptive company in generations. Our dedication to the client and the client experience is beyond any other firm in the real estate industry. I am so pleased to be a part of this amazing company and this profession.
